Extended Vibration, 2009
This is the video documentation from the live performance on August 18th, 2009 at Hudson Guild in New York City.
1. There are people gathered around a table or small stage.
2. A non-sighted actress by the name of Maria will orate simple, seemingly abstract directions.
3. The directions are numerical keys to be pressed on two red mobile phones. When the directions are followed the two phones will permanently vibrate.
4. The mobile phones are then put down and the vibration will cause them to spin clockwise, a little out of sync, like two dancers.
5. The audience that has been gathered can now enjoy the mobile curiosities in all their micro-vibrations and synchronizations. Like a flea circus or an exhibition of magic with clam shells.
